I was born in California in the early 1960s. I am seventh in line of eight siblings who are now spread out along the western United States. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Seattle Pacific University in 1984, and since then I have worked as a graphic designer and illustrator at SPU, started my own business called Susan Shroy Graphic Design, married my hairdresser Sigel, moved to Alaska, gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Aly who we homeschooled from 2nd grade through high school, and started a beauty school named MetrOasis with my amazingly talented husband.
Throughout my adult life, I have identified with many titles: musician, writer, graphic designer, illustrator, fine artist, wife, mother, traveller, hairdresser, esthetician, instructor, cat lady, sailor, peddle pusher, interior designer, and lover of God and His creation.

As I contemplate my future, I am circling back around to the artist. More and more of my time now is focused on creating art that I hope will be my legacy. When I leave this world someday, I want to leave behind works of art that will bring joy to many after I am gone.

My signature includes a little forget-me-not flower that is symbolic of my desire to be remembered and remind others to LIVE A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING!
