Not unlike many places around the world where you can't really tell from the outside what may occupy the inside, Metroasis retains its own unique ambience like no other salon and professional school or business here in this state. As one walks through the door, there's a kind of eclectic theme where the old world of statues and lush antiques meets the innovative warmth of color, lighting, art and gift shop display. While the interior décor might hit you with the curious state of not knowing which direction to inspect first, the customer service provided will certainly catch your attention. Perhaps it is the professional training, or perhaps it is the mode of operation, but people there just seem pleased to make you feel welcome as they greet you, then guide you through the floor to your appointment or purchase needs. Just past the front counter, there is this kind of “hum” in the air, as you find busy professionals and students working on their tools of the trade, side by side filling the room and sharing occasional laughter and technical expertise. Funny as it seems, Metroasis has never been a business to let the proverbial moss grow. In all the years that I have been a customer, I can't say that there was ever a time that something wasn't different or improved upon by the next time I returned. New paint, new displays, new stations, new chairs, new products, new techniques, and forever new plans; just how do they do that? And how have they managed to keep their prices so affordable? I have noted over the years that the owners, Sue and Sigel, have uncovered the secret of how to maintain their unique business in a time when cookie cutter franchises seem to monopolize the norm. Their hard work has paid off for them. They have a well developed curriculum training model that encourages positive regard, marketing advisement, and professional trade-show polish that is succinct with their undeniable dedication to a huge array of services and products. Being so removed from that cookie cutter expectation, one might find Metroasis a bit different and most probably a bit eccentric. But, after you set down with a cup of your favorite espresso they will provide you and receive one of their many services, you might find, just as I have, that you'll be back.
