Haircutting Techniques we Teach
The level of haircutting techniques taught at the average beauty school is quite horrible. It's not all that much better in many salons. Because haircutting is the foundation skill that all other hairdressing skill rely on, it's pretty safe to say that if you don't learn top-knotch cutting techniques, you won't last long in the hairdressing industry.
We teach traditional and cutting edge European techniques that we have learned in France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. We have had a LOT of European training that we share with our students.
We teach razor cutting, not the cheap panosonic insertion blades, but top quality "Feather Razor" techniques. From slide cutting, end blunting, volumizing techniques, etc, we can teach you which techniques to use and also when to not use a razor for a haircut.
We teach volumetric concave, volumetric convex, geometric concave, geometric convex and trimetric projection haircutting techniques. Very few beauty schools teach these techniques as part of the basic training and many salons don't even know these techniques.
We teach many, many different texturizing techniques from eye-lashing, chipping, schwinging, shredding, directional texturizing, triple-shears, etc. and classic techniques such as effilating all the way to the French technique "piquetage".
CLIPPER & TRIMMER TECHNIQUES
We teach barbering techniques, fades, blending, flat tops, clippering & trimming and we also teach how to use the Davis Curve Combs, Flattoppers, clipper combs & other techniques.
STRUCTURE OF HAIR & FACE SHAPES
We teach you how to determine the structure of various hair types and how to design a style for your client's specific face shape. We also incorporate techniques developed by Roy Peters and used in Hollywood that change how you view different facial shapes.
We teach our students fine, precision haircutting techniques. These techniques are in high demand in top end salons.
We teach our students hair artistry and how to blend precision with that artistry. We teach them how maintain the highest level of artistic freedom while maininging their precision so that they don't sterilize their haircuts making them boring or lifeless.
We teach our students only the best body position techniques and the best combing/brushing and scissor techniques to prevent them from injuring themselves while they work.
